Three bollards in disrepair

Reported via mobile in the Bollard Not Working/Damaged category anonymously at 15:04, Mon 1 January 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5374380.

The three bollards outside the Anglesey Arms Pub have been neglected meaning the paint is chipped/faded and hi Viz stips on top are faded, making it more likely they will be hit by larger manoeuvring vehicles. These haven't had upkeep in many years.

  • Although they have now been painted, the work carried out is extremely shoddy. No enhancement of the hi-viz strip means they are still just as likely to be hit by loading/unloading vans. Paint is all over the pavement and extremely patchy on the posts themselves making them just as much of a eyesore. Is there any form of quality control for Bromley's contractors? Please can this job be completed properly and to a good standard.

  • Hi-viz strips have been added by the minor works contractor. Please can you update when the paintwork will be completed properly(it is still patchy) and cleaned off of the pavement? Why is Bromley Council accepting poor quality work from it's contractors?
