Badly flooded lane, leaving it unpassable.

Reported via Android anonymously at 23:44, Fri 29 December 2023

Sent to Chichester District Council and West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5367315.

The two drains have become blocked so the water is not draining away at all. A more permanent drain away needs to be added, to help with the large volume of water that collects from the fields, they sit higher than the road on each side of the lane. Homes are unable to be reached from the school end and the employees of the two companies located down this lane, now have only one entrance to there work place. As the lanes are narrow and have only a couple of passing points, which have now been turned into mud pits due to high rain fall. The staff at these two companies run a gauntlet to and from work, many times coming across large delivery vans or the articulated lorries that need to get supplies to the business. Also this route is heavily surrounded by trees which over hang and have been shedding debri over the lane, causing a risk of damage to the under meathe of the cars having to use this route daily.
