Headlands - Large pothole opposite GP exit

Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 17:34, Sat 23 December 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5351891.

This section of road has deteriorated in the recent winter weather and needs urgent attention as a deep (down to the concrete base layer), large pothole has appeared and the road around it is deteriorating too.

It is right outside the GP exit.

This is a busy road with lots of school traffic and a fire station.

The yellow markings highlight the issue but should be obvious upon inspection.

  • Is it possible to prioritise this repair as I don't think it can wait until June; which is still 6 months away?

The rain today has already made the pothole larger with debris washed out across the road.

Please can this be re-inspected and prioritised accordingly.

  • This area needs to be re-assessed as a new pothole has already formed by the existing repair.

I did state that the whole section needed to be repaired as the road around the pothole had deteriorated.

This has now resulted in a new pothole and could have been avoided if the original repair was done correctly and covered the whole affected area.

Please come out and repair this again.
