Vegetation exceeding the verge into the highway

In many places alongside this woodland. This probably is just seasonal but again it seems it gets a bit further into the carriageway each year. It is only kept back by lorries and large vehicles bashing it - which isn't really fair on roadusers is it? I regularly meet the Martley school bus on this section of road in the morning and it cannot get tight to the verge making it quite hazardous. At certain sections where it is worst you will see where the verge and edge of the carriageway has collapsed on the other side of the road. I am sure this is partly due to vehilcles being forced off the road and onto the verge to avoid vehicles in the middle of the road driving the other way.

How many people does it take to cut a hedge?! One council worker, a sheet of A4 letter headed paper, a smattering of ink and a quick online land registry search. Doesn't exacty fall into the category of expensive and time-consuming does it?
