  • Raw sewage in the play park as a result of the blocked drain causing flooding in the road and pavement. This needs escalating and cannot be left for 26 weeks. This is a problem that has been going on for years now and is the worst it’s been. This is a serious health risk given the location of where this is draining.

  • Spoke to Anglian Water today quoting above reference and they stated that their investigations were carried out yesterday and that there was no pollution found in the water from their samples taken. They advised their sewerage drains were clear and that there was a block highways gully which is your responsibility to fix. This problem has been ongoing since last year and still remains an issue. please update asap on next steps.

  • This has been going on much longer than a year. We repeatedly report this problem on average at least once a month and has been an issue since the original road was reprofiled in 2017. This has been reported and asked to be escalated a number of times and no action has been taken aside from unblocking the defected drain. Please could this be repaired to prevent this happening. It’s clearly costly someone being called out every time to unblock this.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - We can confirm that we have raised a works order to repair the gully within the next 26 weeks.

Posted by Northamptonshire Highways at 16:14, Mon 26 February 2024

  • Can it be confirmed the repair will be completed no later than 26 weeks from when the original inspection took place on January 2nd? The most recent inspection is only confirming the existing issue.
