Blocked grids / gullies

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 09:06, Sun 12 October 2014

Sent to Bolton Borough Council 3 minutes later

Mid-point of Fall Birch road Lostock. The gullies/grids need to be cleaned-out. They are so blocked up that weeds are growing out of some of them. The downpour of rain on saturday 11th oct resulted in rain coming down the road to the lower grids and lifting the manhole cover outside no 2 fall birch road and rain backing up onto the pavement gully in a fountain, which then encroached onto a nearby driveway. The residents on the bottom of Fall Birch road should not have to go out with a brush and remove leaves off the grids all the way up the road just to stop our drives being flooded at the bottom. If the large amount of rain can't go into the grids at the top and midway point it becomes a large problem at the bottom of the road.
