Road drain blocked at bottom of hill at main road junction

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5309556.

The pothole has been blocked for at least a month and causes a puddle on a steep road bend. When it freezes the road , which is on a hill freezes causing a safety hazard and is exacerbated by the blocked drain.

  • Investigation: Completed (Scheduled Maintenance), Defect Repair: Work Completed - We can confirm that the gully was cleaned and jet on 22/01/2024. Since then we can confirm that there was no flooding or immediate safety issues at time of visit, the gullies will be cleaned on routine cyclical maintenance.

  • I don't why I was sent a message to say this problem has been fixed. When it rains water still flows down the hill and when its not raining you can see the drain is full of water.

  • I have given up! You have moved the goal posts in your response from the fact that the drain is blocked to we can see no immediate safety concerns - to avoid dealing with the problem. As soon as there is torrential rain again the water will be pouring down the hill and will freeze in winter. THE DRAIN IS STILL BLOCKED! Northamptonshire is going down the drain!
