Blocked drain at corner of Gloucester Place/Gloucester Street

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drains category by Mark Strong at 15:18, Mon 11 December 2023

Sent to Brighton and Hove City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5307194.

The drain here is in the footway and is blocked, leading to flooding & a large puddle. Combined with the obstructive fencing at the pub this makes access poor for people on foot and cycle.

Updates

  • This has not been fixed - it still floods every time there is heavy rain.

In addition the grate is now not flush with the pavement and is a trip hazard to pedestrians who are foced to negotiate the tables & banners of the nearby pub.
