Children damaging garages with clear signage stating no ball games

Children play outside my house most evenings and persistently kick a hard leather football at the garages directly outside my house. I have asked them kindly to move on which they do briefly then they return and again persistently kick the ball against the garages which makes a very loud banging noise. I am not against children playing but there is a no ball games sign on the garages and there is also a playing field at the end of the street. The garages have been damaged numerous times due to the heavy footed games they play with tiles needing to be replaced regularly and only this week the drain pipe has fallen off due to the football being repeatedly booted at it. I am not the only person in the street to be annoyed by this as other neighbours have expressed their concerns to the children only to be given verbal abuse (my neighbours are elderly). The children have now decided that its more fun to be intimidating and cheeky when approached. They have also entered my garden numerous times to retrieve the ball and taken it upon themselves to use the swing in my front garden when I'm out. I have been at my address for over 3 years and the problem has been persistent since I moved in however now the children are getting older they are becoming more intimidating and challenging when approached. My living room faces the garages so the noise the children generate from booting the football against the garage doors is utterly intolerable at times. I find it hard to relax when it sounds like someone is using a sledge hammer to open the garage doors!
