A Resident has complained a number of times. They said "I am writing to make you aware that yet again the highway (A50) outside of my Mums property at 2 Ashleigh, Newcastle Road, Smallwood is ponding." "The ponding on the southbound side of the A50 has not subsided in over 10 days. The gulley/drain is clearly not functioning effectively. I am becoming increasingly concerned of the effect that this may have on the potential of further flooding to my Mums property. The gulley/drain cannot take the surface water from the A50 and thus this water has to go elsewhere. I would welcome urgent attention to the matter in hand."
