Flooding across the road
Reported via mobile in the Carriageway category anonymously at 22:37, Thu 7 December 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5294462.
The drain gets blocked by muddy run off from the verge and fields. The road then floods frequently. Cold weather makes the road either side of the flood really dangerous with ice. These country roads are never gritted, even on the bridge which has been demolished several times in icy conditions. The drain needs some sort of run-off protection to stop it blocking.

Thank you for contacting Cheshire East Highways. We have logged your enquiry and passed it to a member of our team.
Our teams are working hard to manage and respond to reports from members of the public.
We are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and we will be prioritising those issues that present most risk to the travelling public. While we normally aim to provide you with a response within 20 working days, response times for all other reported issues may take longer than usual.
Thank you for your patience.
