Poor placement of lights again

Reported via mobile in the Light sensor is not detecting vehicles category anonymously at 07:42, Mon 4 December 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 5278240.

Another issue of temp lights popping up out of no where with no prior warning for motorists who now have to queue for over 15 mins to move a short stretch of road due to poor placement of traffic lights again, clearly not someone who travels this road daily, it would make more sense to put the lights on the junction for hawkwell row from Cinderford than to make people queue at those lights and then again straight after while the lights let a measily amount of people through. The traffic is currently queued back to the large lay-by midway between Brierley and hawkwell row, so probably over a mile for these traffic lights that have had no thought when they’ve been placed there! Every single time.
