Eastern Rd between The Coach House and Rope Green Medical Centre

Reported via Android in the Gritting and Grit Bins category anonymously at 09:23, Thu 30 November 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Cheshire East Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5267719.

With the freezing weather the water that has been standing on Eastern Rd for the past few months (due to poor drainage near the Rope Hall Lane/Eastern Rd T-junction and lack of drainage and flooding further up Eastern Road near the medical centre) has frozen into a solid sheet of ice making the road incredibly dangerous for driving. There were at least two separate incidents of cars skidding off the road into or through the hedge next to the farmer's field yesterday on the T-junction where Rope Hall Lane meets Eastern Rd (29th Nov) and numerous near misses as drivers braked coming around the corner by Rope Hall Cottages and then skidded on the ice patches. The road really needs to be gritted please - or at least salt made available near the junction so that the worst sections can be gritted. Many thanks for your help.
