Bushes obstructing pavement

Adjacent to 36 Lodge Way bushes have grown out blocking between a third and half the pavement. Number of them have spikes meaning trying to pass someone sees clothing snag.

  • Vehicles, particularly a blue van, have started parking on the path here. Due to the overgrown bushes passage is impossible. However, due to cars/vans parking on the path opposite as well the only way past is to walk in the road at a junction and not able to see cars coming round the corner! Yesterday a mother with her buggy was nearly hit by a white van because neither path was passable.

  • Investigation: Completed (Work Completed), Defect Repair: Rejected - A community steward has been sent back to the area and has determined that the vegetation has been cut back to an adequate standard. Unfortunately, North Northamptonshire Highways do not have any enforcement powers in terms of improper parking.
