Parking cars in the beautiful meadow

Reported in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 09:11, Tue 23 September 2014

Sent to Oxford City Council 4 minutes later

Windsor Crescent is potentially a beautiful meadow. However people park carelessly using the meadow as an ugly car park completely destroying the landscape. The parked cars and vans are destroying the grass and the paving. There are already potholes in the ground. The meadow and paving need to be repaired and people stopped from parking on it. A wooden fence might do the job but that might take away from the landscape so a better preventive measure is needed. Thanks.

  • Some repair work was carried out but damage continues as people haven't stopped parking on the meadow grass.

  • While some earth was added back in the curb some time ago. Some cars persist and continue to park on the green even when there are plenty of free spaces on the road, and the damages continue - soon the quick-fix carried out less than 4 months ago will be as if it did not happen...

  • Again a big van is parked overnight on the meadow. There is ample parking on the street and yet people use the grassy area to park carelessly. We are not sure what we need to do in order to eliminate this issue. Any advice will be great! Thank you.
