Repair to pothole breaking up
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category by Keith Nash at 10:59, Tue 21 November 2023
Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5236520.
Thanks for dealing with the original pothole BUT unfortunately the repair to the original pothole was not good. The original hole was merely filled with tarmac and both edges of the repair are now breaking up badly and tarmac is all over the pavement. It needs a proper repair with a rectangular hole cut which is larger than the original hole and fresh tarmac laid. This will rapidly get worse as the tarmac gets broken more with each vehicle that passes over it. Please may I suggest that the area is marked with a large cone to prevent vehicles damaging it more until a proper repair is done.

Photo taken on 28th November 23. The damage to the shoddy repair reported on the 21st is now huge and getting bigger every day as cars and lorries drive into and over it. Please will you treat this repair as urgent. With large loose stones flying out onto the pavement with passing vehicles someone is going to get hurt.
