Pedestrian crossing takes a long time to change to red

Reported via iOS in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 08:17, Mon 20 November 2023

Sent to Luton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5230946.

Both Pedestrian crossings on both sides of the road at this location take a long time to change to red once the button is pressed. Generally waiting time is more than a minute but sometimes I've waited over two minutes. In most cases pedestrians are crossing between gaps in traffic while it is held by the lights at the junction with Wheatfield Road, leading to traffic having to later stop with no-one is waiting to cross, when the pedestrian lights do eventually change
