Temporary Repair failed - Pothole again

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5222971.

Once again, this section has degraded and has potholes and there is a very rough surface. It was repaired temporarily a few months back but now the repair has failed. The holes are likely to cause vehicle damage, especially at night or when there is surface water.

Updates

  • The temporary repairs are an expensive and short-sighted approach which puts lives at risk, as well as costing motorists a great deal of angst and personal cost. Diverting funds from maintaining existing roads to fund 'vanity projects' is part of the problem. The millions spent on 'improvements' should wait until the current roads are made good.
