Unclear end of cyclepath
Reported via desktop in the Suggested improvements category anonymously at 08:43, Fri 17 November 2023
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5222242.
Signs indicate the route left here, but do not make it sufficiently clear that this is the only cycle route and that pavement ahead is not a cycle facility.
Whilst I think this cycle facility is not well designed- a painted left arrow ("Diagram 1059") and bicycle ("Diagram 1057") roughly where I'm standing would be inexpensive, reinforce that the route ONLY goes left, and reduce conflict with pedestrians on the narrow pavement around the double roundabout.

Should also add that it'll also reinforce that the section where I'm standing is a shared cycle facility, reducing conflict with pedestrians around the bus stop.

You can put as many signs as you like. Cyclists will just ignore them all anyway since the police doesn't bother to enforce the laws with cylcists. No point wasting too much taxpayers money on signs that will be ignored.

Thank you for your report. Upon completion of a thorough site investigation, it was determined that the road markings and signs are acceptable as they are not significantly faded and meet the required threshold.
