To whom it may concern,

I am a current resident of Aldborough Road South, the traffic on this road is getting worse over time and as more cars increase per household the road becomes much narrow. There has been so many accidents on this road, one of which to someone close to me. In 1994 I lost my brother due to a car accident and in the past 20 years the council has introduced no traffic calming measures. Speeding is problematic and biggest cause of concern. I see so many so called 'racers' racing up and down Aldborough Road South. Considering there are several schools on this road I am greatly disappointed no actions have been taken to tackle perhaps one of the most dangerous roads in Redbridge.

One of the main suggestions I wanted to make is that Aldborough Road South really needs yellow lines. The road bends in several places and these create major blind spots for drivers as cars are parked on both sides of the bend. Not only this is hazardous for drivers it also greatly undermines the safety of pedestrians crossing the road, as they don't have a clear vision of on coming traffic and drivers do not notice them when attempting to cross the road.

Other neighbouring roads such as Benton and Cameron Road have double yellow lines, so I don't understand why Aldborough Road South which is one of the busiest roads if not busier don't have yellow lines?

I hope I do get a respond to this, and I believe now is the right time to address this issue and make Aldborough Road South a much safer road for everyone.

Another accident is just one too many.
