Sent to West Sussex County Council 4 minutes later
There's a narrowing in the road due to stone either side of this road. There have been many accidents on this road that has caused the road to close. An incident today caused by a speeding tractor coming from down the hill nearly caused a serious accident. I was able to reverse quickly to avoid being hit by the tractor and it's heavy load and being trapped between the narrow stone with my two young daughters. There urgently needs to be a traffic calmer inserted with priority given to traffic coming up the hill to ensure there are reduced accidents on this road.
I believe the council have already attempted to fix this problem in many different ways. They have [attempted to] widen the road in places, cut down trees to allow more light and better visibility, and install brighter street lights. There isn't much else they can do.

There are no street light on this section of road. If they were to install a right of way island and add more light using street lights this would work so much better. They could even attach or paint markings onto the rocks either side of the road that cause the issue.
