Street sign stump is hazardous to predestrians

On Blackwall Way, opposite the building site and often located underneath a stack of traffic / no-parking cones, there is the stump of an old street sign that is about 10-15cm high.

This is a trip hazard to pedestrians when visible and it also has a sharp metal edge.

I would be grateful if it could please be removed.
