Fence is too high for ease of use, GW2

Reported via desktop in the Stile-Damaged/Missing category anonymously at 15:31, Wed 8 November 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5189188.

The fence is very high in relation to the stile and it is very difficult to climb over as you have to stand on a rounded metal fence rail (potentially slippery and dangerous when wet). The landowner understandably padlocked the adjoining gate, which we used to use, following problems he experienced earlier this year when there were livestock in the field. One of the photos includes a 6ft 4in adult next to the fence so you can get a sense of proportion.
