A1122, flooding at roundabout
Reported via iOS in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 17:33, Sat 4 November 2023
Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5174574.
A1122 at junction with St John’s Way, Downham Market.
Drain/gully in the centre of the roundabout, directly opposite the A1122 exit with the level crossing, is blocked or slow running, causing the roundabout to flood whenever there is rainfall. SEE PHOTO.
Usually about half the width of the road floods, as in the photo, but in heavy rain the entire width of the road can flood.
Being on a roundabout, this is a serious hazard, particularly to motorcycles.
The flooding at this location seems to happen every Autumn/Winter.
