Illegal car parking
Reported via iOS in the Car parking category anonymously at 13:17, Tue 31 October 2023
Sent to Enfield Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5157759.
There are works on our road for the last two years and they are all inconsiderately parking, either across drives, double yellow lines or on the pavement. We have asked them several times to park considerately but to no avail. Maybe a parking fine would clarify things or towed

Dear customer
The Traffic Management Act 2004 allows enforcement action to be carried out when a vehicle is parked adjacent to a dropped footway. This covers any dropped footway including those, which allow vehicles to cross the footway and those which assist pedestrians crossing a road. I understand how inconvenient this situation can be, however the enforcement of driveways can only be carried out on each occasion that a complaint is received from the owner of the premises and the details are given for the vehicle causing the obstruction. A Penalty Charge Notice can then be issued to the offending vehicles by the Civil Enforcement Officer who attends the location of the complaint at the time of the offence, this may also result to a subsequent removal of the contravening vehicle.
I thank you for bringing this to our attention. Should you require enforcement please contact Parking Services directly on 0208 379 6406 which is operational Monday to Friday 9.00am-12 noon, out of office hours and at weekends you can contact the council parking contractor NSL Services Ltd directly on 0203 856 0036 7am -7pm Mon-Sun.
If residents wish to report illegal parking requests for evening visits then they can email parking@enfield.gov.uk and an enforcement officer will be assigned to visit after 7pm.
Regards Parking Services
