Possible seweridge leak

Reported via mobile anonymously at 09:53, Tue 31 October 2023

Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5156616.

In the tunnel beneath the junction of the A59 and Longmoor Lane directly under the Wetherspoon pub the is a discharge of a brown fluid that is expanding daily. This discharge has a skin on it. I have passed through this tunnel both on foot and by push bike for a number of years and this is the first time there has been any pools of liquid present there.

Updates

  • The fluid coming out of the two pipes at the source problem appear to have stopped at present. However, the brown scum layer is still there and due to the fact that there has been far less rainfall lately the fact that the leakage from the pipes has stopped I am not sure if the problem has been rectified.
