The sign is illegible problem

Reported in the The sign is illegible category by Gloucestershire County Council at 13:23, Mon 30 October 2023

FixMyStreet ref: 5153369.

Dear Gloucestershire County Council,
I would like to report a hazardous road sign near my home. The road sign is not tall enough or far enough from the foot path and poses a danger to taller people walking past, running or those cycling. I have bumped my head against this sign in the past as it extends outward onto the footpath and isn't tall enough; other signs in the area aren't a problem to my knowledge. The sign can be found on Secunda Way as you're driving towards the direction of Quedgeley, it is right next to the steps that lead up to The Anchorage. There is a bus stop near by.
I would be grateful if you/your teams could either move the sign inwards a little bit more so the bottom metal part isn't obstructing the footpath; or, alternatively raise the height of the road sign so that it doesn't pose a risk to pedestrians, runners or cyclists.
Note: Gloucester City Council advised that I contact you with this query.
I look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks.
Kind regards
Suliman
