White Road Markings faded

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 08:18, Sat 28 October 2023

Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5146377.

The central white road markings and or Cats eyes have faded away making the road dangerous when dark and very dangerous when dark and raining with heavy traffic flow. There are other sections of the A24 between Southwater and Faygate which need re-marking. It was so bad I thought my head lamps weren’t even on one morning!

Updates

  • Not fixed, rubbish from the council and highways as usual.

  • Not fixed, white lines are all disappearing down the a24 from Horsham to Southwater. No cats eyes. I can only assume no one from the council actually drives on those roads in the dark.

  • The strip between lanes has further deteriorated into almost a continuous pothole. There is now a significant jolt when changing lanes on this section.
