Vehicles turning left causing near crash!

The sign clearly states “no left turn from right hand lane” But it’s on the junction! I’m already looking left fro traffic and can’t see sign. Too late no one sees it and it’s too high! I can’t see it sat in my car at the junction, I know it’s there only because I live around here and myself have fallen foul to the stupid sign nearly hitting another vehicle, as I’ve had the opposite way too. It’s only a matter of time until someone is seriously hurt and causing a pileup.

1/ it needs to inform people so they can make a decision to were there going and get in right lane before the junction. 2/ it needs to be lower so can be read from within a vehicle. 3/ why has the road not got road markings like others in this situation? Arrows and/or wording? Surly paint is cheeper than the signes. This clearly has been placed up in the wrong location, on the junction not giving drivers time to make lane change, and react.
