Nothing has been done yet. Lots of contractors came to put plants by the monument which is nice, but no one has touched the paths yet.

This job HAS NOT BEEN FIXED.
Some workers came yesterday to start the paths but only did half of them and left without finishing. They said they were going on a break but never returned. They have started doing edging on the path but only gone half way along, bits completely missed and the bits they have done is just churned up mud and potholes and a total mess, it possibly looks worse than it did before. The fact that they left early and had to lie about it shows they must have known the job was unfinished but did not care enough to finish it properly.
It is unacceptable from this company that they have the time and resource to do these jobs but leave before doing less than the bare minimum.
The workers need to return to finish the sections that were missed, also tidy up the other sections edging it properly, removing all the moss and weeds and raking over to even the surface, possibly new gravel is needed to correct the surface otherwise this public footpath will just deteriorate further and become a mud bath. I look forward to hearing from you and sending someone as soon as possible to finish this job.

Photos attached are from 3 years ago showing the paths, which clearly shows that this public area used to be cared for but now it is not. It is really appalling how these just get left to deteriorate and when workers do come they do half a job and then leave because they cant be bothered. please can someone come and have a proper look at this and fix it properly.

As suspected, Idverde never came to finish the paths and the weeding as reported over 6 months ago, and I doubt they have any 'programme' in place or any intention of doing so. the stone paths are also now full of weeds, along with the 'sustainable planting scheme' in the middle which has not been touched since it was planted and is totally overgrown now of weeds. it is a complete waste of money if it is not maintained. please can idverde be booked in to properly sort out all these jobs as soon as possible

Thank you for your further comments, and my apologies for the delay in responding. Idverde will be attending shortly to undertake weeding and edging works to the paths, and maintenance of the beds.

Yes they came today and strimmed the top of the weeds off the stone path leaving the bulk of the weeds remaining and that was it. The main paths remain completely untouched since my first report and since they left the job over 8 months ago. They are still full of weeds moss are overgrown a total mess no edging has been done and getting progressively worse. These are public paths that have just been left to deteriorate - when this company has been instructed to do the job, even attended with all the tools to do it and still did not do so. This is very poor. I look forward to hearing from you once you have re instructed the contractors and checked on this programme of works until it is complete. It has gone beyond reasonable in their failures to address these basic maintenance tasks that they are being paid to do.

Thank you for your additional comments. Operatives have been on site to cut grass and weed beds, and will be returning to undertake week spraying/removal and path edges. More consistent attendance will be forthcoming, and I apologise for any delays in carrying out works.

They still have not touched the paths and from past performance they are clearly not returning to do so. Can someone please check these jobs as it is us wasting time having to re report it constantly. Please get the contractors to complete the paths job as originally requested over 9 months ago

Thank you for your comments. Our Grounds Maintenance contractor has confirmed that gapping up of the shrub bed will take place between October - March to give the plants the best chance of establishing. Path edge works will also take place later in the year, as the ground is currently too hard.

The contractors have had many many opportunities to shape the path edges over the course of the last year since this was first reported when the ground would have been suitable to work on. It is clear this is just another excuse and they have no intention of doing this job. The job can be closed once it is completed which I look forward to.

It is a total joke that this is being fobbed off again if you look at all the comments by Bromley council on this thread starting October last year that 'this will be done' .. etc etc and obviosuly it never happens. it is hardly 'gapping up' it needs a whole re plant as they put plants in on this 'sustainable planting scheme' with the ridiculous sign thats an embarrasment to Bromley council and just left them to die. What a waste of public money. this will have to be re opened until this is complete. thanks

Thank you for the reply, however, I await to see these works being complete as over the past 10 months this has been promised but obviously never completed. when the contractors do return to finish this work, please can they also remove the 'sustainable planting scheme' sign as well as it looks awful and the scheme clearly hasn't worked.
