Severe verge damage by NNC garden waste contractor

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5114592.

On 19 October 2023 the NNC garden waste contractor came through the village and whistle attempting to go around the approved road works on Deenethorpe lane has now severely damaged the verge which needs to be sorted urgently before storm Babhet impacts this weekend. With the ground already wet the vehicle has damaged the flood defence gully that takes excess water from the road and into Willow Brook.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - We can confirm that the carriageway defects meet the investigatory level for repairs and work has been scheduled to resolve them. This should be completed within a 6 month time frame and please be assured that you will receive an update once repairs are concluded.

  • The problem is affecting the effectiveness of the road drainage and the road is flooding regularly with the amounts of rainfall with the storms.
