New Traffic Layout

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 21:28, Thu 12 October 2023

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5091923.

The new traffic signals are causing a lot of confusion and is an accident waiting to happen. On several occasions when travelling from Victoria Park Drive North to turn onto Danes Drive the cars coming from Danes Drive turning right on to Westland Drive think they have the right of way. This has caused several near misses since the layout has been live on a daily basis.

  • These traffic lights are still causing problems. I can't work out how to use them, have never found a roundabout so confusing.

  • 1st time using this new road layout & feel it is dangerous for drivers. I was coming from Westland Drive wanting to turn right onto Danes Drive. I had my indicator on waiting at the lights, when they changed for me to go I couldn't understand the road markings & the driver behind me came up on my drivers side knowing I would be turning up that way. This caused me severe anxiety and major confusion that I am apprehensive about driving anywhere that entails me having to use this route. Has anyone got an aerial view of this that I can look at so I know how to navigate it please.
