Right hand lane marked right turn only - why?

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 13:45, Fri 6 October 2023

Sent to Milton Keynes Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5069318.

The right hand lane when on the A422 when approaching the roundabout for Grafton Street has a right arrow painted on the carriageway. There is no signage beforehand to indicate that the right hand lane is only for turning right. If continuing on the A422 heading west there are 2 lanes coming off the roundabout. If there are 2 lanes to enter and 2 lanes to exit the roundabout, and no other signage to say you cannot use both lanes to go straight, why is the road painted to show only the left hand lane can be used to go straight and that the right hand lane can only be used to turn right?
