Parking on a bend.

Reported via iOS in the Car parking category anonymously at 22:13, Thu 24 July 2014

Sent to Three Rivers District Council 2 minutes later

For some reason people have started to park on the bend in the road. You cannot see passed these cars without overtaking them. You then find yourself facing oncoming traffic. Yellow lines needed ? Or parking tickets for stupid parking ?

  • As far as I know, nobody has come to look to see how dangerous this actually is.
The council have said it takes a long time to get yellow lines passed. In the meantime remember I have said that sooner or later there will be an accident.

  • Have had reply from a county council officer suggesting revised proposal following previous objections to be advertised very soon. If objections are dealt with lines could be down this summer. Have not seen revised plans though

  • They have now decided to actually put parking spaces here. Complete nonsense. I presume whoever decided this did not actually drive along the road. The map makes it look like there is not a bend after the pub but there is. You have to pull out into oncoming traffic to see what's coming. Very dangerous.

  • The cockwombles at Herts CC have now painted parking bays there, legitimising the dangerous parking. You couldn't make it up.
