Low hanging branches blocking path

Reported via Android in the Trees category anonymously at 07:53, Fri 29 September 2023

Sent to Luton Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5043029.

The trees opposite 5 Twyford Drive need trimming. They block the path to anyone over 4ft tall, so parents are walking out into the road with their children to go around it on the way to/from the Primary school.

  • The council said they would make Asda do it, as the trees are on their land. They haven't. I guess now the leaves have fallen off they don't think it's an issue, but there are still low hanging branches and the whole path will be blocked again come the spring.

  • Still not fixed. The Council said they would insist Asda sorted it, but still hasn't happened. Now it's Spring the tree is again filling up with leaves and blossom, so the branches are weighted down blocking the path again for anyone over about 5ft tall.
