Tarmac pavement

Reported via desktop anonymously at 23:55, Wed 20 September 2023

Sent to Cardiff Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5015952.

Paving getting broken, my father has had 2 falls and also others have fallen over the years, the street cars and vans park on the pavement narrow road, top of estate newport rd has tarmac, and surrounding streets, why have we been forgotten? there are a lot of elderly live here, i have footage of my fathers injuries, also an elderly man who has been forced to walk onto the road due to parked cars on pavement . again why have other streets have tarmac and we haven't for the safety and fact cars park on the pavement it should be considered

  • It seems the street has been forgotten estate has older generation and as soon as paving is replaced cars park on them then cracking pavement again, people have fallen elderly also, the road is narrow anyway surely a waste of time just replacing slabs to be parked on again, also no 20mph road sign at top of estate either again we are forgotten, i would like to know why other streets have tarmac paving yet we don't the evidence is there if council measure the road and it will show why cars have no choice but to park on pavement , it would benefit everyone living here and there is housing area where over 55's live so there is a call for some type of solution i would like to know the reason why council will not look into this matter i will if council request it get a petition off residents and for my father to have fallen now 2 times and council refuse a claim after sending photos is shameful it will be interesting if i did get a petition to see if anyone else has fallen i hope the council survey the size of the road and pavement parking, to add to this where my father had fallen is still not repaired there is still a yellow x which is now faded if council want to see it i will send a photo for evidence
