Trees are overgrown and are a hazard outside school

These trees leading up to the entrance of the school are overgrown and a hazard to both the public and to the children walking to the school. These trees should be capped and have not been cut in the last 15 years. Due to their size, the volume of leaves that come down each year completely cover the footpath and become very slippery forcing students accessing the school to walk on the road and not use the footpath. Last year I witnessed a student slip on the leaves and hit his head on the footpath. You have a duty of care to maintain these trees especially so near to a school. I reported this last year and you sent around a contractor who sat in his van for 4 hours and did 10mins work and left. I am just worried that children are not using the footpath to walk to the school and instead are using the road which could lead to a serious incidence due to the size of the trees and volume of leaves and loose limbs falling down during bad weather.

I second this suggestion for improvement. I am further concerned that the top-heavy nature of these trees would /could lead them to blow over on to a house either side in high winds such as are currently forecast. My property at 85, and those of 87/89/91 are all extremely vulnerable. Thank you for dealing with them.
