Chicane

Is it necessary to have a chicane outside this school? the problem is car parked all along this road, people not giving way when they should, there is such chaos when the children leave school. Would it not be better to have a proper puffin crossing? There are more days when the children are not in school or when they have gone home, there is a van parked very near the road marking which also is parked on the cycle way. Cyclists try and cycle in the middle instead of the cycle parts of the chicane, drivers don't realise when they have the right of way and nearly cause an accident. I think this needs to be looked at.
