The neighbour has let their bushes cover over half the pavement
Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 23:31, Tue 15 July 2014
Sent to Wigan Borough Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 501288.
The neighbour has let their bushes cover over half the pavement and it's still growing.
They seems to have neglected pruning that whole area.
Their address is : 2 Duddon Close
The overgrowth is at the side of their house along Hartington Drive, past their gate.
It's impossible to wheel a pram anymore, they need to prune their shrubbery back onto their land and off the public path so people can walk etc....

Hello,
the problem has not been fixed.
I attached a photo to show you what I wrote about:
A neighbour asked him to trim the bushes in line with the pavement but he ignored her.thanks

It has been half fixed, half of the area is the same, half has been cut. I have no idea why they did just half, when they could have done the full area. The whole area needs to be done.... in fact the worst area is the same as before.

It's been partially fixed,
I saw the lady from Duddon Close trimming it the other day.
3/4 has been cut but the final 1/4 has been significantly left.
The lady at Duddon Close stopped at a certain point. The remaining 1/4 was the worse bit and was the real reason I wrote in initially.
I believe there is a disagreement between the neighbours at number 23 Hartington Drive, and the house on Duddon Close, as to whom is responsible for trimming that 1/4 area.........so, since they have no agreement to cut it, each is saying it's the other person's responsibility, they are both just letting it grow indefinitely .........which is a very immature way to deal with it, in my opinion.
So it started to take over the path until I am forced to complain.
Someone needs to sort this out.
I'd cut it myself, but it's not really my responsibility.
There needs to be an official decision as to who should cut that area and both neighbours need to listen.
You can see "the jungle" starting to take over the footpath here:
http://goo.gl/ maps/ B5GSOIt's doubled since this was taken for googlemaps.
The area to the right of the pink hydrangeas is the same as before I wrote in, to the left of the hydrangeas, it's been cut back somewhat.
That's that status now.
Thank you for sorting this out... fixmystreet.com is a superb service.

The area is still overgrown and a van parks on this area, with one wheel on the pavement at night, making the pavement area there impassable.
