Drain grill bent out of shape and blocked

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drain or Gully category by Nicholas John Spencer at 04:19, Tue 19 September 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Merton Council less than a minute later. Council ref: SRQ-1009490-W8G3S9.

Re SRQ-478836-M7W341, Re our previous correspondence over several years on the blocked drain on the road outside our house, No 9 Wolseley Avenue SW19 8BG. Two weeks ago, a lorry (Croydon Council livery) with equipment to unblock the drains arrived in our street and the two men in it spent ages trying to free the grill. Full credit for their efforts but it wouldn't budge. One told me it was bent out of shape and would have to be cut out. As far as I know it's the only one they couldn't access to clear in Wolseley Ave. In the past, their colleagues have given up within 2 minutes, but they really did try. It's worrying that it is so blocked, so will you be able to send someone to free it? We'd be very relieved to know it's clear. Nick Spencer
