Flowering Crape Myrtle Tree vandalised

Reported via desktop in the Trees category by Jonathan South at 22:49, Monday 18 September 2023

Sent to Royal Borough of Greenwich less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5007902.

Tree has been violently snapped off ( not felled professionally) and left on the pavement. This tree was in full bloom and is one of the only spots of colour in the street, providing decor and enhancing air quality and mental well- being for all. This is an act of vandalism. My Ring doorbell shows the tree there at 3.47pm on 18/9 and gone by 4.45 pm same day. I am sure I can access footage to identify perpetrators . From the time, this was very likely to be teenage kids on their way back from school. What can the council do?
