Blocking emergency services

Reported via mobile in the Car parking category anonymously at 18:26, Wed 13 September 2023

Sent to Enfield Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4991464.

Every day from early in the morning until late afternoon the Two Brothers motorcycle garage have, for the last two years, and despite numerous complaints, been blocking emergency vehicles from entering Acacia Road by routinely and seemingly obliviously parking on the double yellow lines. This causes traffic jams and congestion when two cars want to both exit and enter Acacia Road which should be easy to do. By parking in their usual anti social way, they will prevent a fire engine from being able to turn into Acacia and were the worst to happen and residents found themselves in dire need, such as when the Tatoo parlour was a victim of arson resulting in the death of David Leggett on August 11th 2007, people could very well die as a direct result of Enfield Council’s failure to properly investigate, manage, and control the situation.
