Bollards moved for UCI bicycle race but not replaced

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 16:15, Tue 12 September 2023

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4986996.

Concrete pots and bench seats were moved into the gutter for the UCI bicycle race and have not been moved back. This narrows the footpath available to pedestrians and increases speed and frequency of traffic significantly. I reported this via the Glasgow City Council useless website 4/9/23 but as this doesn’t allow you to describe the problem or submit an image it is a waste of time (Ref No 4209-7469-4291-5060). Please reposition the pots/benches to as they were and fix your website and app so they are useable. Thank you

  • 11 November 2033. Street furniture still jammed in gutter offering no benefit to either pedestrians or motorists.

  • September 2024. Bollard/planters/benches eventually put back in place. Over a year after reporting and lodging two formal complaints and an ombudsman complaint. Slightly better than completely useless service GCC. Well done!
