Rubbish in the alleyway

Reported via iOS in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 21:15, Thu 7 September 2023

Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4970769.

Large yellow bin with building materials in and now people are dumping black bin bags with food waste in . Which is now over flowing. This has been in the alleyway for several months. Can you remove this bin because it is attracting rats etc .

Updates

  • The overflowing bin bags got moved so the lid will close but the yellow bin never gets emptied out. It’s still full.

  • It looks like this is a commercial waste bin, so not the responsibility of the local authority.

  • We had a letter from the council this week asking people not to leave bins in the alleyway. I find this a bit of a joke when I report a problem and all I get back is, (this seems to be a commercial bin so it’s not the council’s problem). There is no help as to who’s problem it is or any advice on how to resolve the ongoing problem. My question is, who do I contact to get someone else’s bin removed or emptied???
