Constant speeding and not stopping for crossing

Sent to Newport Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4969525.

The road is a 20 mph limit with a school and a zebra crossing. Drivers usually drive over 40, with regular over 60mph driving, especially at night. This also causes excessive noise. The crossing is very dangerous as drivers frequently do not stop with many near misses. Pedestrians often need to dodge incoming cars when crossing. The road needs a camera or some other speed enforcement. Please install an automatic traffic counter if verification is required.

    During school drop off and pick up times cars continuously park right up to the actual zebra crossing, blocking visibility. I have witnessed families struggling to cross, cars failing to stop and many near misses. I have reported to council numerous occasions.
