Dangerous temporary traffic lights for cyclists

When coming from the city centre and crossing the bridge before Ferry Hinksey Road on the left hand sign there is now a temporary traffic light about 4-5 m before the original traffic lights. This is a problem for cyclists. When I want to go straight on I used to use the separated cycle path on the bridge which ended before the traffic lights and I could then stand in front of the red light in the middle on the drawn in part for cyclists until it turned green and I could then cycle straight on. Now, when I cycle on the separated cycle path and the temporary traffic light is red, I can only wait on the very left hand side of the road. This led to me being almost cut off by a car turning into Ferry Hinksey Road who seemingly assumed that I would also turn left, as I was waiting on the left hand side. I could just about stop before being hit. The only other way to keep standing in the middle of the road in front of the traffic light would be to ignore the separated cycle path and cycle on the road instead which comes with its own dangers. There should at least be some signage to tell cyclists where to cycle when they want to go straight on or to warn cars that cycles might be left of them but still could go straight on and to take care (the car which almost hit me also didn't use the indicator which means even if I had checked the car right from me I wouldn't have known about the car turning left).

I reported this more than 10 month ago. Now Botley Road will be closed even longer. 10 months seems a long time to be investigating this dangerous spot for cyclists. I now invented a hand sign telling cars behind me that I want to cycle straight on and hope for the best. I would be great to get a reaction to the report that this is a dangerous spot for cyclists.
