In response to an e-mail from Hull City Council...
"Please provide your address, contact number and the street light numbers."
Its not near my address and there is no number on the posts otherwise I would have provided a number!.
As you can CLEARLY see in the picture provided, it is a set of Traffic Restriction Islands (The only one down Egton Street.
Come on Hull City Council, check YOUR maps of the area and see for yourself where they are!
Why keep coming back to the public to do your job?
Would you like to send me the bulbs to install them myself for you?
Bloody ridiculous having to report things several times all because Hull City Council cannot be bothered to check their own maps!!!

The main lamppost in Egton Street the island is near is Lamppost 5 near "Piggy Park"
I noticed today as I was walking by the Island Signposts they do have numbers on now (They never used to when I have reported them in the past)
The numbers are... 3 and 4
Lets hope that gets the problem fixed now without having to ask me what wattage bulb they take! ;-)
P.S. Just to remind you.... All FOUR Lights need replacing at both sides of the islands as the flashing one failed last night too so now the width restriction is in total darkness!

Have reported this vehicle for illegal parking in a permit zone, for over a year, longer perhaps. No action has yet been taken. No penalty issued. Can i request this be rectified, as i and all other residents pay yearly permit fee for this zone. This particular vehicle never has. Is there a reason why this owner is immune or exempt to paying for a permit? If not then please supply feedback, or rectify this please

Its been 256 days and the Traffic Island Lights still have not been fixed in Egton Street!!!
How many more times do I have to waste my time reporting this?
The lights are out on ALL FOUR SIDES!!!
See pix above for lampost numbers, locations, etc.
Hull City Council needs to get a grip and get things sorted otherwise its a waste of time asking the public to report things!

Its now been 364 days (31st, Aug 2024) and the lights (At all sides) on the width restriction islands still have not been repaired!!!
I have reported them FIVE TIMES on here and FOUR TIMES via 300300.
I have also informed the Lighting Team direct via e-mail exactly where they are and even told my local Councillors, not once but TWICE now but they still haven't been fixed!
Hull City Council are a joke and its a waste of time reporting things to them as nothing gets done!!!

Here is an update to the Egton Street - Road Width Restriction Lights Out Saga...
So far I have reported this problem.....
9 times to 300300
5 times via the Hull City Council Website
8 times on the Fix My Street Website
Reported it to my Local Councillor (Diana Hatcher) in July 2024 in person and via E-mail
Reported it to my Local Councillors (Linda Chambers & Scott Preston) in August 2024 in person and via E-mail
Reported it to our local Drypool Police, who in turn reported the lights being out on 3 occasions
Reported it to ASB Team (Sarah Peasgood) in January 2025, who in turn reported the lights being out (Thanks Sarah) and I even got an e-mail from Lighting (Steve Tutty) and I told them where the problem was and "NOTHING HAPPENED!!!"
On the 23rd January 2025 I'd had enough when I received a Newsletter from our Local Lib Dem Team with Mike Ross (Leader of the Lib Dems and Head Of Hull City Council, who now wants to become Mayor!) backing them stating that his team "Work hard all year round and keep in touch with the residents!" and that he "Works closely with that team and champions the issues you (The Residents) care about."
I thought you can't go any higher then the Head of Hull City Council, so I contacted him via e-mail on 23rd January 2025 via a 5 page A4 dossier listing the problems I had reported in our area not getting sorted.
8 days later (31st January 2025) and with no reply from Mike Ross (Leader of the Lib Dems and Head Of Hull City Council) I e-mailed him again, stating I'd sent him an e-mail and not had a response back.
He e-mailed back 2 minutes later stating "Your e-mail has been picked up and a response is being prepared by the team."
45 minutes later I received a response from "The Team" which ignored all the started facts I listed and just said "You raise a point about street lights that need fixing. I will raise these with the council and ask that they are seen to."
On the 10th February 2025 I attended a Police Surgery, not to talk to the Police but because I knew a Local Councillor was going to be there.... Diana Hatcher.
I let rip with her and stated facts, printed out of e-mail's and replies from Hull City Council, Lighting and its Leader.
There was no disputing something was drastically wrong with Hull City Council.
Up until the 10th February 2025 it was 529 days since I first reported the lights out.
Then, as you have read, I have reported them far too many times and a simple fix like a light bulb, should have been sorted a long time ago. Funny how Council Tax goes up every year but the services go down!!!
For some reason the lights where finally fixed yesterday (25th February 2025) which was then 544 days since I first reported them being out!!!
As I have said, and keep saying "Hull City Council are a joke" and as you have read.... That's a fact!
A big thanks to the worker who fixed our problem though.... You the star... Not Hull City Council!
State changed to: Fixed
