Dog owners not picking up after their animals

Reported via mobile in the Dog Related Incident category anonymously at 11:02, Mon 28 August 2023 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council 21 hours, 36 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 4933204.

Hello, I walked through bec Rec this morning with my 2 young children and in under 5 minutes witnessed 2 dog owners not picking up after their dogs. I often see people walking ahead and completely oblivious to their animals, where they are and what they’re doing. Are we able to have people patrolling the park and handing out fines to deter this?

  • Enforcing against dog fouling is extremely difficult as we have to catch the offender 'in the act'. Signs can deter but are often ignored by those irresponsible enough to let their dogs foul the pavements and parks. If you are able to provide us with any information regarding specific locations, breed of dog, description of owner, timings of offences or any other further information that would be most helpful.

State changed to: No further action
