Over growen public footpaths with weeds.

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 18:53, Tue 17 March 2009

Sent to Barnsley Borough Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 49323.

The public footpaths and walkways between Alan Road and Agnes Road in Darton are over growen and unmaintained in most areas. A recent bout of graffiti on the rear of peoples out houses has also appeared. (thankfully this is not in spray cans and only white chalk for the presant). Previous fly tipping is evident, although this is mostly due to inadequcate provisions of green/brown/blue bins for recycling purposes within this area. For some home owners the maintance of their gardens has extended out to the general footpath areas, unfortunatly the few houses that have been leased out or rented have not been in keeping and are spoiling this area. I would like to urge the council to get involved please and help tidy up the public footpaths.

Updates

  • Still nobody has been and cleared this eye sore. Just a bit of pride in the comunity for the area we live in to be restored, and I'm sure we would not have half the problems we do around here!
