Large trees

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 16:47, Tue 17 March 2009

Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 49311.

The large sycamore trees at the back of the gardens of 53, 55 and 57 St Leonards Road (the Warren) are becoming a danger as they are overgrown and crowded. A limb (not merely a branch) broke off of one of the trees last October in the snow and winds, and narrowly missed falling on the play equipment of the family next door to us (we live at 55 St Leonards) The trees are not safe as they are spindly and very tall - please can you arrange for them to be lopped. I do not wish to damage the local bird life, but perhaps they can just be pollarded down to the ivy line to preserve their nesting habitat.

Many thanks

Trisha Thatcher
